Humble Rose & Frankincense Bath Honey Review:

As I was finishing off the bottle of the Original scented Rose & Frankincense, I also came across the Period Cup product. The $25 price point is a good deal for me, but I don’t think that it is a good value for most. It is a bit expensive for a Menstrual Cup.

You can get the Lunette Cup for around the same price, but the 2 pieces are made of much thinner plastic than the single piece of the Humble Cup. If you have a good grasp of the menstrual cup, having a single piece menstrual cup is a big bonus, so we are already at a disadvantage.

The Easy to Use Design

The Humble Period Cup is a bit thick for my liking, but I am rather petite. The rim is a bit extra thick too and people with fingers which are not strong or thin might have a bit of a struggle taking this cup out.

A bit more information about my experience with this cup:

I needed to fold this cup when I inserted it to get a secure fit.

I took the cup out after 12 hours, and even though it was very soft, I had a bit of a challenge getting it out without peeing a bit.

I think the cup was too long because there was a noticeable bulge under the clothing. For this reason, it will not work well for soft insertions.

At the time I used this cup, I didn’t have a very heavy flow, so the cup didn’t pop open as easily as it do when I have a heavier flow.

Humble Rose & Frankincense Bath Honey Review:

I think the company should get more feedback from transgendered people about the design of the cup, and include people in product testing for updated versions.

There is still the potential for a cup like the Humble Cup to work for people who don’t have a strong or thin grasp, and don’t want to spend more for a better designed cup. I think there just needs to be a version of the cup that is a bit more tapered towards the edges to help with getting it out easier.

Humble Rose & Frankincense Bath Honey Review:

My main difficulty with this cup was finding the stem. Yes, the stem you can see is a part of the cup, and it is a bit of a pain if you have smaller hands, or arthritic hands in getting the cup out of the vaginal canal.

I mentioned this product to some of my transgender friends and they all said the same thing – I tried to pull their Cup out from the bottom and couldn’t find the stem. If your hands are too large, you have the same problem.

What makes it even worse is that the cup is too long, and it is harder to come back up from the bottom than it is for long cups. This one is 46.5 mm long.

The stem is there for a reason… to make getting it out much easier if you can’t find the stem, you will have a hard time getting it out. Try to locate the stem when you put the cup in. If you can’t, then maybe this cup is not the best choice for you.

Another Problem with this Cup

My main concern with this cup is that I drained it much too slowly. I had to take it out 12 hours later, when it was rather soft. I try to say to leave a menstrual cup in for 12 hours, but for this one that is just too long.

For most of you, this means that this cup will be rather difficult to pull out, and you might even accidently pee a little bit when you have to pull it out, when it’s a bit soft.

I suggesting wearing it no more than 10 hours, and pull it out at least before the softness really sets in.
